What can you re-frame?

Can you re-frame Christmas?

One of the biggest lightbulb moments of my recent Wildly Well retreat day was a reframe of the Christmas juggling act.

We are often very busy, balancing work, family and social commitments. It’s a balancing act that can easily teeter over in times of crisis.

So much shopping. So many parties. School fairs, school nativities, work parties, nights out, extended family to navigate around.

When the balance feels quite finely strung how do you make it work?

Write it ALL down.

ALL of the commitments. ALL of the balancing act.

Everything that is on your plate. (On the retreat I actually gave everyone a paper plate to write their lists).

And then.

Take some of it off.

The stuff that isn’t necessary. The stuff that drains your energy. The stuff that actually isn’t a priority right now. The stuff that will get in the way of Christmas.

I KNOW that it is easier said than done. But don’t dismiss this simple task. Take a breath. In fact, take three deep breaths. Then ask yourself, what can I not do right now?

Not forever, just for now.

And, if this feels impossible, prioritise. Prioritise what you really need to do. Not all the bells and whistles. The bells and whistles can come if you have enough time.

P.S It can be very easy to let go of your exercise and healthy eating/sleeping habits in the run up to Christmas or when you’re super busy. Please don’t stop. It will help. If you need help re-focusing your health and fitness priorities book in a consultation call with me here.

P.P.S The next Wildly Well Retreat day will be on 26th January 2020. One day to set you up for the New Year feeling refreshed, relaxed and re-focussed.
